YEEP Team

YEEP is a project carried out by a team of volunteers from Switzerland and our partners from Ethiopia. The main partners are the Swiss association “Deventure”, who is also legally responsible for the project on the Swiss side. In Ethiopia, the Institute of Technology at Hawassa University has itegrated YEEP into its activities to promote entrepreneurship among students. Different other schools, universities and student organisations in Switzerland are partners of YEEP and offering the project as a unique intercultural experience to theirs students.

In the last years, YEEP has grown “bottom up” and become bigger and more effective. In Ethiopia, at the technical business incubator has developed into an official institution within the University structure. In Switzerland, we have managed to build up a pool of talented and motivated volunteers, which gave us the chance to extend our activities beyond the initial business week once in a year.

YEEP has shown considerable continuity and gradually increased its impact. With some more effort, we are convinced that we can become even better and contribute to an interlinked world where efforts of entrepreneurial minded young people have a chance to succeed.

YEEP is mainly based on voluntary work. This is only possible, if a minimal structure is available. You can support us in different ways:

Become a partner and support us with your know-how, work or contacts. If you represent a school or university, we are happy to discuss how we could open up our project for your students. If you speak for a company, we would love to learn from you or your employees. If you are an individual, we would be very happy to count on your work or contacts which could help us to improve our project. Please write us, so that we can get in contact!

Become a donor and help us to make YEEP become even more professional. We would love to invest into hiring a part-time coordinator or to invest in new projects and some infrastructure in Ethiopia. If our work is in line with your convictions, our fundraising team would be happy to discuss together with you, what kind of support would make sense for you and us.
